With colorful flowers, towering trees, and vintage-inspired fashion, their celebration was a feast for the senses. This wedding was simply fun to photograph.

A Garden Party Wedding at Marietta Garden Center
The Marietta Garden Center is almost tailor-made for a garden party wedding. The historic white house, sprawling lawn, mature trees, garden paths, flowers, and covered outdoor space create a setting that feels both established and romantic without needing much transformation.
Kristin and Daniel embraced this enchanting atmosphere.
Their wedding was colorful, relaxed, and delightfully personal. Instead of a reception where everyone quickly vanished onto the dance floor, their guests actually hung out. Friends gathered around tables to chat and play card games, wandered the grounds, and spent the evening enjoying each other's company.
This created the feeling of a genuine garden party, with a beautiful wedding ceremony seamlessly woven into the experience.
Kristin's Tea-Length Wedding Dress
And we absolutely must talk about this dress.
Kristin wore a stunning tea-length wedding dress with a structured, vintage-inspired silhouette that was perfect for the setting. The full skirt, draped neckline, off-the-shoulder details, and floral hair accents made her look like she stepped out of a mid-century wedding photograph or a modern editorial.
The shorter hemline allowed for graceful movement, making it especially fun to photograph. There’s something magical about a tea-length wedding dress spinning through a garden.
Daniel's dark green suit and warm-toned tie beautifully complemented the colorful florals and greenery without appearing overly matched.
Garden Wedding Portraits That Felt Like a Movie
Kristin and Daniel's portraits together were easily one of our favorite parts of the gallery.
The grounds surrounding the Marietta Garden Center provided a variety of stunning backdrops without ever needing to leave the venue. We captured them beneath the trees, along brick pathways, surrounded by blooming bushes, and against the historic architecture of the house.
The afternoon sunlight filtering through the trees created dreamy portraits—soft, warm, slightly nostalgic, and full of movement.
We always aim for our Atlanta wedding photography to include beautiful portraits you'll want to frame. But we also strive for the photographs to genuinely reflect the personalities of those in them. Kristin and Daniel gave us plenty of both: composed editorial portraits alongside candid moments of laughter and joy.
Colorful Garden Party Details
One of the most delightful aspects of this wedding was that nothing felt overly manufactured.
The wedding party donned an assortment of greens, purples, blues, and floral patterns instead of identical dresses. Their bouquets overflowed with pink, yellow, orange, purple, and white blooms. Against the lush greenery of the gardens, the color palette truly popped.
This made the wedding feel collected rather than prescribed—almost as if all these beautiful elements and people had naturally found their way into the same garden.
And yes, there were card games at the reception tables.
These thoughtful choices often make a wedding memorable. Your guests don’t necessarily need another elaborate activity; sometimes, simply providing your favorite people with space to sit, play cards, laugh, and enjoy each other's company creates the atmosphere you envisioned.

Kristin's brother delivered an incredible speech that quickly became one of those moments where photographing the person at the microphone is only half the story. We closely observed Kristin and Daniel's reactions—the laughter, emotion, and tender glances exchanged while someone who knows them deeply spoke about their relationship.
