'Til Death Do Us Part: Spooky, Goth North GA Wedding Day Photos at Sugarboo Farms

There’s something truly unforgettable about a wedding that feels completely them—and Stephenie and Landon’s celebration at Sugarboo Farms in the North Georgia mountains was exactly that. From the moment our Atlanta wedding photography team arrived, it was clear this day would be full of love, laughter, and unforgettable (spooky) moments.

A Bold, Cinematic All-Black Wedding Aesthetic

Stephenie and Landon embraced a daring, all-black aesthetic paired with their “’Til death do us part” theme, giving the day a darkly romantic, cinematic feel. Every detail—from guest attire to décor—reflected their unique style, making the day feel completely authentic to them.

Despite heavy rain for the first half of the day, our Papillon team navigated the weather with grace, ensuring every moment—from intimate family portraits to candid laughs—was captured beautifully. Once the storm passed, the mountains revealed a misty, ethereal landscape that elevated every photo, making it a perfect North Georgia wedding photography backdrop.

A Personal Ceremony Surrounded by Loved Ones

The ceremony was deeply meaningful, officiated by Stephenie’s best friend LJ. Their closest friends and family gathered around to witness their vows, while their son Zalen and their dogs added extra warmth and personality to the day. It was an intimate, heartfelt moment that perfectly captured the essence of their family.

The misty mountain backdrop after the storm made every portrait feel like it belonged in a movie—a dramatic, romantic setting that paired beautifully with their bold, black wedding aesthetic.

Reception Fun and Memorable Personal Touches

The reception was filled with laughter, love, and delicious Mexican food, reflecting the couple’s playful and personable style. They even treated the Papillon team to a peach-flavored shot before we left! The day ended with one of the most fun moments: Stephenie, Landon, and some friends jumped into the pool for the last set of photos, leaving us with images full of joy, spontaneity, and celebration.
